Cassie grew up in Jenks, Oklahoma (a small town next to Tulsa, a big town). Cassie received a Bachelor of Arts in Film and Video Studies and Women’s Studies from OU in 2008.

Cassie now works for the University of Oklahoma in Web Communications. She shoots and edit video for the OU YouTube Channel.

She is also the founder and chair for the filmmaker’s group under the Norman Arts Council, Cinematic Artists of Norman. In addition to holding workshops and lectures by industry professionals, CAN also produces videos as a collaboration.

Cassie has worked on the feature films Freaky Faron and 1 in 3, and has experience producing, production coordinating, directing, and editing. Her internship at the Cannes Film Festival in 2008 gave her a first-hand experience in the largest market of the filmmaking world.

When she isn’t basking in the light of a film projector, she enjoys the simplicities of life such as cooking, scrapbooking, and Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
